Develop classroom practice and learn valuable skills in this fully-funded, 18-month Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship designed to train TAs to take their place confidently in the class.
Who Should Apply for Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship?
The programme is for TAs who are new to the role or who have experience in a classroom setting and wish to develop their skills and confidence.
Applicants must hold English and Maths GCSE qualifications at Grade C/4 (or Functional Skills Level 2 in both subjects) and work in an education setting.
How is the Course Delivered and Assessed?
The programme combines online and face-to-face training with 20% off-the-job learning. Throughout the apprenticeship (typically 18 months), modules cover safeguarding, supporting behaviour for learning, planning for intervention and supporting pupils with SEND and EAL.
At the end of the course, candidates will have three months to complete an End Point Assessment.
What are the Benefits to Schools?
Enrolling teaching assistants in the L3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship enhances school performance, aids recruitment and retention, and supports career progression.
Our aim is that all Aspirations academies enroll TAs, who do not hold a Level 3 qualification, for the course.
